Traditions have to be kept up

Punctually at 10 a.m., 9 fearless rowers got ready to cast off in our admittedly ageing eight. On the Main, several eights and various other boats were already gathering in the Rudererdorf, and so just before 11 a.m. we all rowed to the Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge).

After a short but powerful battle cry that ended on the words „on to the sausage“, all the boats put their backs into the blades and of course we all arrived pretty much at the same time.

After all the boats lay ashore at the Freiweg and Rheno, we tucked into the sausage and the cake. After that, happy and full, it was back to the Rudererdorf. See you next year!
