Off the sofa, out onto the water – now it's time to row!

On the last Sunday of the Hessian Easter holidays, just before school starts again, children and young people aged 11 to 15 can get to know rowing at the open day of the Frankfurter Ruder- und Kanusportverein Sachsenhausen 1898 e.V. Under the motto „from the youth for the youth“, the youth coaches, together with the rowing youth, present the sport of rowing. A varied programme all about rowing awaits you. It starts on land with a short introduction to the sequence of the rowing motion on the ergometer, as well as a tour of the boat hall in which the assembly of a rowing boat is demonstrated and the various types of boat get to be known. Afterwards you'll learn to row together in fours over several short laps. Finally, in a rowing team challenge, you'll show what you've learned. A shared barbecue rounds off the open day.
