Funzel rowing in Frankfurt am Main

Experience something different and see the city glow from another view. 12 fearless souls set out, as darkness fell (7 p.m.), to row the Main. With our eight and a coxed pair, heading towards Griesheim.

We went through the lit-up city and, in our flow, moved fairly briskly towards our goal. The lights of the high-rises were reflected in the water, and there was a really great mood on board.

In Griesheim, a turn in the reservoir basin, and arrived for the picnic at the Rheno. They have, together with the Freiweg, two jetties, and we could land beautifully and let the boats bob in the water, tied up.

The picnic was shared like sisters and brothers. Fortified, we set off again towards the FRVS in the Rudererdorf (10 p.m.). On the way, we (the eight) also had a race with our „Brise“ (the coxed pair), which the eight unfortunately lost “grrrpppft“.
