Deka donation for our youth

„The donation is a wonderful and meaningful signal,“ says a delighted Lars Littfin, chair here at the FRVS. „The 1,000 euros help us run our swimming-pool training with boats for our youth again this winter. There, alongside important measures for self-protection and protecting others in the boat, we also learn the capsize roll with the whitewater kayak. Our swimming skills are also developed with a view to improving our safety on moving water.

Unfortunately, as in many areas of life, the costs for this rose immensely, and we can only meet this financial challenge with great difficulty from the means available to us.

All the more we're delighted that we were considered as part of the „Deka – Engaged Locally“ campaign.

For the nineteenth time, the savings banks' securities house is supporting the social commitment of its employees. As part of the „Deka – Engaged Locally“ campaign, various non-profit organisations are supported with a total of 30,000 euros – organisations in which the staff are active as volunteers or which they wish to support.

In recent years, a good 570 institutions from the fields of children's and youth work, education, culture, social affairs, sport, animal and environmental protection have been considered.

„I'm very glad that, thanks to the donation from my employer, I can support our FRVS,“ says our Markus, who works at Deka. Our rowing and canoe club is committed far beyond purely sporting activities. We're also committed to socially responsible togetherness and to nature and environmental protection.
